Kuwait Riding Center's riding school was established in February 1996 with 20 riders and 21 horses. After moving to our location in Sabhan in April 2001, KRC has grown to train over 500 riders and 120 horses. We give both beginner and advanced riders the opportunity to learn more about horses and riding with experienced instructors, training in both dressage and showjumping. Our advanced show jumpers compete locally and internationally, representing KRC and Kuwait with impressive results.

Level structure

Where you'll start

Every new or returning rider begins with a trial / assessment class. Our trainers assess your riding and place you at the right level and with the right trainer.

Level 1 – Foundation

1A: Beginner / On Lead — Basic position, balance, steering, stopping, mounting and dismounting, correct contact and basic horse control, with a groom on lead.
1B: Independent Basics — Riding independently, correct walk and trot, basic transitions, steering, circles, maintaining balance and introduction to canter.
1C: Intermediate Basics — Independent canter, cantering on circles, riding without stirrups, improved balance and contact, and introduction to the jumping position.

Level 2 – Jumping

2A: Basic jumping — 40–60 cm
2B: Intermediate jumping — 80–90 cm
2C: Advanced jumping — 100–110 cm

Level 3 – Advanced / Competition

3A: Jumping — 110–120 cm
3B: Jumping — 130–140 cm
3C: Jumping — 140–150 cm
